It was the 90s, and the internet was just becoming a thing then. Just a couple of years ago, my world had changed entirely. I wanted to learn how to create websites. I played around with various tools, but I needed a real challenge to take me to the next level. That’s when I stumbled across a principle that would change the trajectory of my life.

My mom needed to get her glasses fixed. So we entered this optician’s store. While he was busy repairing my mom’s glasses, he mentioned how he needed a website but didn’t have the time or energy to learn how to create one. So I jumped on the opportunity and offered my help. He was happy to hear it and was willing to pay 1.500 German Mark (it was before the Euro). That was a lot of money for a young man.

He could spend his valuable time running his business. And I was able to do what I enjoyed, honing my craft and earning money with it simultaneously. This principle became my business model for the rest of my life and a core driver of my personal development.
